Our U11 Netball Champions!
16 teams from 10 different counties battled it out at West Hill Park at the U11 IAPS Small Schools Finals on Wednesday.
Having gone through the first half of term unbeaten in our regular fixtures, we were looking forward to testing ourselves against different, largely unknown opposition. We had a tough group, but our girls played some good netball to win 3 out of their 3 matches;
Winterfold House (Worcestershire) 7-5
Oakwood School (Sussex) 5-2
Amesbury School (Surrey) 7-2
Instead of the cold, wet conditions that we may have forecast a couple of weeks ago, the challenge was keeping the girls out of the heat, well hydrated and rested. The group matches were played with a great intensity and it took a lot out of them.
They were delighted by what they had achieved. Very hard earned over the 6 matches that they came through.
