Learning Support
Beeston’s Learning Support plays a pivotal role in our mission to understand and respond to each child as an individual.
Recognised fulsomely in our recent ISI inspection report, our LS department offers bespoke, personalised care for every child they work with. Support with learning usually takes place within the classroom, with qualified members of the LS team assisting children with their day-to-day education (in full collaboration with their subject-specialist teachers).
We also have a designated, welcoming learning support area, where children can receive 1-1 teaching or work in small groups with peers. This space is also available as a place to come and relax at playtimes.
At Beeston, we relish the challenge of capturing the ‘whole child’: standardised data is triangulated with insight from home, school, and, when required, a network of external professionals, providing support ranging from sensory workshops to art therapy.
